RELEASE:++SYSTEMS Version 9

ATTENTION:

FROM VERSION 9 ON: NEW DONGLE TECHNOLOGY

The old dongle still works only with previous versions! Dongles are being changed in the near future!

ADVANTAGES:

Save and flexible licensing

Better licensing policy – simplified burning of the dongle

Effective copy protection

DYNA V9: Further improvement of the automatic individual concept regarding both manholes and catchment areas. Now also the relation between the manhole diameters with the (inner) diameters of the connected conduits is being drawn into consideration. Without exception, this leads to lower manhole losses at larger pipe diameters, in contrast to the previous method, just based on general laboratory conditions, no matter of the mentioned dimensions.

It is certainly necessary to carry out further long term verifications on this subject by experiments in the laboratory.

The distributed calculation has been improved widely once again!

The illustration of profiles in the manhole dialogue regarding throttles has been improved considerably. Now it bears a detailed display of the profile variation if a proper width is being indicated accordingly.

If a negative value for the surface of the manhole/special structure is entered, DYNA V9 dimensions it arithmetically, leaning on the absolute value of its surface, in such a way that no overflow results from the rainfall properties on which the calculation variant is based. This implies that the occurrence of any overflows can be completely excluded during the period considered by the (long term) evaluation.

Consequently, dimensioning of manholes and special structures is now possible. The result initially just appears in the report file *.MLD and as a notice (W301) in the report window. Concerning structures it is stated indirectly under the section “required size” in the structure table.

A statistical dialogue has been introduced for the area specific precipitations, in order to improve control of specific rainfall occurrences.

SPECIAL TOPIC:

Uneven exposure to rainfall with KANAL++ HYDRAULIK

By means of a network of rainfall measuring stations which is getting constantly denser, precipitation data is more and more precise and universal. Various cities and communities have already built up a network of several measuring stations for their catchment area. KANAL++ has now been adapted to the increased consequent demands. KANAL++ is able to process any number of measuring stations. It is enough to state their position and the corresponding rainfall data. To make it as easy as possible for you to insert the precipitation data, the most important interface formats (MD-format, DVWK/LAWA, MR90, CSV-format for MS Excel) have been integrated directly.

The assignment of the catchment areas to the different stations depends on weighed shares. The assignment can be carried out manually or automatically. The automatic assignment has been based on two standard methods, the Thiessen-polygon procedure and the raster method. At the Thiessen-polygon procedure, the single catchment areas are assigned to the nearest measuring station without exception. The raster method considers all existing rainfall measuring stations for each area, in which their influence decreases a lot with the distance however.

This data is being transferred to the hydrodynamic calculation module DYNA by KANAL++ maintaining its precision and there it is drawn into consideration accordingly. This can lead to much more accurate and realistic results than it was possible up to now.

To support you even better during the interpretation of the results regarding uneven exposure to rainfall, various new evaluation features have been integrated. This includes precipitation diagrams for single catchment areas, numerical and statistical evaluations of rainfall occurrences, methods for division and arrangement of the single rainfall occurrences among lots of other things.

SPECIAL TOPIC:

++SYSTEMS with database function and database interface

KANAL++ can be used as a full database itself or it can be connected to any already existing database.   In this case it can work as leading or subordinated database. Thus it is assured that all systems used in the office dispose of a common database. In this way, problems with outdated data are excluded.

The synchronization of KANAL++ with other databases can be configured freely and flexibly in few steps. tandler.com has aquired far-spreading know-how regarding database interfacing and data synchronization.

tandler.com is glad to put this knowledge at your disposal!
